Online Auction opens Monday!
The Gezellig online auction opens Monday! Get a preview of the catalog now. It has everything from premier parking spots to special Dutch experiences and from OU, TU, and OSU football tickets to weekend getaways across Oklahoma. Plus an assortment of parent and alumni-owned businesses packages — there is something for everyone!
Visit the online auction here, click “Sign Up” in the top right corner and follow the prompts to set up your account. Once you create your account you can view the full catalog.
Bidding opens on April 4 at 8 a.m. and will close on April 8 at 9 p.m.

Gezellig is a Dutch word that is loosely translated to mean "cozy, warmth, friendship," words that are perfect for the Holland Hall community — and for our biggest event of the year.
Expect an elegant evening of dancing, Dutch drinks and food, music, and a variety of raffles, sign-up parties and a brief live auction.

Nature Therapy Walk with Ms. Pam Rogers - Saturday, April 23
Awaken your senses, calm your mind and replenish you soul on a Nature Therapy Walk with 6th grade science teacher and Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides certified instructor Pam Rogers. Based on the principles of the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku, or Forest Bathing, Nature Therapy Walks nurture connections and wellbeing by immersing participants in intentional, guided experiences within the natural world. Come see the HH campus and yourself in a new light. Limited to 15 participants. Adults only please. Please plan to stay for the entire 3-hour walk.

Centennial Mandala on display now
The Centennial Mandala is now on display in the Tandy — near the main entrance. This year's ARTworks' artist, Whitney Forsyth, created a unique installation in celebration of Holland Hall's centennial.
The Holland Hall community, from our youngest students to our faculty, created clay pieces throughout the ARTworks program this fall which each found their way into this beautiful, permanent addition to the Holland Hall campus.
HH hosts field hockey spring clinic
The University of Michigan Field Hockey Staff is hosting a spring clinic on Hardesty Field on Saturday, April 23, 2022! Open to all interested 4th-12th graders! Michigan Wolverine Head Field Hockey Coach and two-time Olympian Marcia Pankratz will lead the clinc! All abilities welcome!

Theatre Enrichment with Mrs. Long
Ready, Set, ACT! Let Upper School's Theatre Arts Director, Leslie Long, guide your child into exploring the first steps to understanding what acting is all about! In this fun & supportive class, children will use theatre games, storytelling & role-playing to stretch their imaginations and discover the endless creativity and confidence in themselves.

American Girl Easter Eggstravaganza!

7th Grade Downtown Tulsa Studies
Downtown Tulsa Studies has been a pillar of the 7th grade educational experience, and we are delighted to offer such an opportunity to our students this year after lockdowns and shutdowns and a disruption to our traditional school year.

Middle School Parents' Association April meeting moved
The MS PA Meeting scheduled for April 5 has moved to April 12 at Noon.
Planning ahead for the end of the school year
Final Exams for 6th-8th grades
May 18-20 will be final exams for 6th-8th grade students.
Exams each day will begin at 9 a.m.
On Wednesday and Thursday, exams will end at 12:30 p.m. Students should bring a snack and no lunch will be served.
On Friday, exams will end at 11 a.m. Make-up exams will take place on Friday afternoon.
Last days of school for 4th & 5th grades
4th and 5th grades will have regular school days on Wednesday, May 18, and Thursday, May 19. 4th and 5th grade students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 20.
8th Grade Promotion
8th grade students will stay after their last exam on Friday, May 20, for an end-of-year lunch with faculty and a quick rehearsal for their promotion ceremony. They should be picked up at the Tandy at 12:30 p.m.
The 8th grade promotion ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 20 in the Branch Theatre. Following the ceremony, there will be a dance/party for the students to celebrate.
Upper School / College Counseling
Sophomores taking the PreACT on Wednesday, April 6
On Wednesday, April 6, all 10th grade students will be taking the PreACT.
PreACT empowers students with a unique practice experience for taking the ACT test. Results give us valuable insights into predicted performance on the ACT. PreACT test results also show students their areas of strength and where they need to improve. The assessment is multiple-choice and includes four sections: English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science.
General information:
*Arrive by 8am (yes, early on a late-start Wednesday)
*We are dividing students based on their English teacher:
Schmidt – US Gym Floor
Morgan – WAC Stage
*Students are required to wear their school uniforms.
*Students need number 2 pencils - no mechanical pencils allowed for proper scoring. We will have some extra pencils.
*Calculators are allowed on the math section, but not required. Prohibited calculators are TI-89 and TI-92. Students cannot share calculators and we will not have any extras.
*Students will receive a 10 minute break between sections 2 and 3. They are welcome to water and a snack at that time if needed.
*We will receive official scores back within a couple of weeks and will send those results home to you.

GPACAC College Fair at Holland Hall
When: Monday, April 11
Time: 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Holland Hall
Meet admission representatives from 50 colleges and universities from across the country. All high school students and families from the Tulsa-area are encouraged to attend. The full list of colleges and universities that will be in attendance can be found here. Electronic student scanning will be available at the fair.
Students should register for a barcode at www.strivefair.com. A barcode will be sent immediately via text and email. Admission reps will scan the student’s barcode directly from their phones.

Freshman Orientation - Medication Authorization
Freshman parents, please fill out this form if your child needs over-the-counter or prescribed medication while on Freshman Orientation. Just like during the school day, with the exception of rescue inhalers and EpiPens, students will not be permitted to carry ANY medications with them while on Freshman Orientation. HH faculty chaperones will have access to Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Benadryl and first-aid supplies as needed.
If your child will need any other over-the-counter medications and/or any prescription medications, please submit the medications along with the completed form to Kathleen Alabbasi or Nancy O'Neil by April 13.

Freshman Orientation this spring
We are excited to announce that we will run the Freshman Orientation program this spring for the class of 2025. Half the class will go on the trip Thursday, April 28 - Saturday, April 30 and the other half of the class will go from May 1 - May 3. This longstanding tradition involves a camping trip to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, led by upperclass students and accompanied by faculty, as a means of reinforcing communal values to our 9th grade students. This week, we published our plans for exam week(s). Because they are doing internships, the seniors take their exams a bit earlier. We have coordinated our exams with the AP Exam schedule for this spring.

Senior Internships
The Class of 2022 will be doing their senior internships this spring! We are thrilled to announce the return of this graduation requirement and a wonderful opportunity for our students to engage in "real world" experiences for 40 hours at the end of their senior year. Graduation announcements/class rings
On Nov. 18, Jostens met with the senior class to give them information about graduation announcements and class rings. We wanted to make sure that the information made it home to parents (there was a print packet that was handed out: Nancy O'Neil has extra copies if you'd like one).
