Upper School signing is planned for Wed, May 1. Primary and Middle books will be distributed in the days to follow, with MS given out in advisories and PS distributed at end-of-the year grade events. If you haven't ordered, please go to Jostens.com. And a huge thanks to everyone who has supported our 2024 book.
Traffic changes — please take note
The new security arms will be down during off-peak hours at the main gate/Self Family Welcome Center. All gates will be open during drop-off and pick-up, as always.
When you enter campus at any other time:
- Enter either lane — visitor or the right lane — and if you have a Holland Hall sticker, a member of our safety team will open the gate immediately. If you — or a grandparent, etc., don't have a sticker, the safety officer will greet you before opening the gate.
- After being admitted to campus, please check in at the branch or building you're visiting. You will also check out at the same desk.
- Please use extreme caution going entering and exiting campus, especially as people get used to the new Welcome Center and gates.
- The gates will lower between each car. Please do not tailgate!
- Please be careful turning left from the main gate to go onto the north road heading toward the Primary School. There are two lanes, and one car may be going straight.
- The speed limit everywhere on campus is 14 mph for the safety of the students, who are often walking outside of the buildings. The school is monitoring the need for additional speed bumps at the Welcome Center.
- An automated system for parents and staff is in the works, so stay tuned!

Eight weekly sessions begin on May 28-31 and continue through July 22-26. There will be no camp the week of July 4th.

Represent Holland Hall at the Tulsa Zoo Run!
The Tulsa Zoo Run takes place on Saturday, April 20. The Zoo Run has a distance for everyone! There is a 1 mile run/walk, 5k (3.1mi) and 10k (6.2mi). All abilities, grade levels, siblings, parents, friends, etc. are welcome to join. Your registration will include free entry to the zoo as well as a tshirt!

HH Family Droid Building and Coding Adventure set
Join the Rebellion or Serve the Empire...the choice is yours! Create a Rebel or Imperial droid and code it to serve your cause with Micro:bits technology and training from Master Jedi and Upper School Technology Teacher Neil Bergenroth.
When: May the Fourth - 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Where: 27th Level of Geonosis (aka the Upper School Library)
Limit: 20 teams (each team must contain at least one adult)
This workshop will be best enjoyed by Padawan learners aged 3rd grade through 8th grade. No prior experience making droids or coding is required.

Free student physical exams on May 7
All students from Kindergarten through 12th grade — as well as any Summer Programs students taking athletic/sports camps — must have a yearly physical exam on file with the school, and Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma has partnered with the school to give free exams to students in 6th-12th grades.
Mark your calendars to take advantage of free physical exams on May 7, and watch for more information to come.

HH Golf Tournament helps support new field hockey/soccer turf
When: Monday, May 20, 2024
Where: Meadowbrook Country Club
This is your invitation to support Holland Hall while participating in this fun Scramble golf tournament. It is a great marketing opportunity to our community. Enjoy a round of golf with friends, or reward employees. All sponsorships include lunch, range balls, carts, green fees, all the beer you can drink, and a gift bag with golf balls, caps and logoed advertising items. For a little added fun this year, Bill Knight Auto Group is sponsoring our Hole-In-One on hole #4. Get lucky and drive home in a new car. Following the tournament sponsors receive a letter stating the tax deductible portion of their sponsorship level.
Big News! The proceeds of this year’s golf tournament will help fund the “New All-Weather Turf Field Project” in support of the girl’s field hockey and soccer programs.
This year’s format involves two separate “Shotgun” start scrambles. Half of the teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. and the other half will tee off at 1:30 p.m. If you have a preference, please let me know and I will accommodate as many as possible.
Prizes for both sessions include:
- First Place Team - $ 100 each player
- Second Place Team - $ 50 each player
- Long Drive Contest on Hole # 13 - $ 50
- Closest to the Pin on Hole # 4 - $ 50

UPPER SCHOOL
Class of 2025 Senior Picture Meeting is April 22
Class of 2025 senior picture meeting for students will be held Monday, April 22 at 8 a.m. (during morning meeting.) Information about setting up sessions with our official photographer will be shared. These photos will be printed in the yearbook and are used by the school when needed. More information and links to come in future Dutch Weeklies.
Senior Portfolio art exhibit continues
The Holliman Gallery in the Walter Arts Center is featuring the Photography, 2-D, and 3-D work of our 2024 Senior Art Students. Please stop in to appreciate their work. An Artist Reception will be open to everyone on Wednesday, April 24, from 5-7 p.m. Come and congratulate the artists and then plan to stay for the Upper School/Middle School Dance Concert at 7 p.m. in the Branch Theatre.

8th Grade Boat Regatta set
Who: 8th grade students (families are welcome to watch)
What: Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta
Where: Tandy YMCA: 5005 S Darlington Ave, Tulsa, OK 74135
When: Wednesday, May 1 @ 9:15 am (races will last approximately an hour)
How: Parents drop boats off with students - the school day will start OFF campus.
Following the race, students will board buses and head to Drillers Stadium for the day game.
They will return to campus by 2:30 pm and attend sports.

3rd Grade Parent Middle School Open House
It is almost time to start thinking about Middle School! We are so eager to meet you and your children, and we hope that you are excited for this next phase.
All 3rd grade students will visit the Middle School on Monday, April 29. More details will be coming from their teachers.
On Tuesday, May 7, we invite you to a Parent Open House in the Middle School beginning at 5 p.m. with a "meet and greet" with 4th grade teachers. At 5:45 p.m., we will have a presentation in the MS Library and we will conclude by 6:30 p.m. More details are in the email that was sent home. We look forward to seeing you there.
Third Grade Bridge Crossing date changes
Please note an important calendar date change. In response to parent feedback, we have made the decision to reschedule the Bridge Crossing ceremony. The new date and time for the event will be Wednesday, May 15, at 1 p.m.
