Free student physical exams on May 7

All students from Kindergarten through 12th grade — as well as any Summer Programs students taking athletic/sports camps — must have a yearly physical exam on file with the school, and Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma has partnered with the school to give free exams to students in 6th-12th grades.

Mark your calendars to take advantage of free physical exams on May 7, and watch for more information to come.

Dutch Exchange

As the school year winds down, please be thinking about what you could donate to the Dutch Exchange or what you might need to help get through the end of the year. The Exchange is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and located in the Tandy between Ms. Silkman's desk and the BT.

Pick up what you need and drop off any uniform or Dutch Day items in great condition that you no longer need and want to share. This volunteer-staffed service is completely free.

At this time the Dutch Exchange is not taking the discontinued Middle School grey or red polo shirts. Please stay tuned for ideas on how to recycle those uniform items.

Traffic changes — please take note

The new security arms will be down during off-peak hours at the main gate/Self Family Welcome Center. All gates will be open during drop-off and pick-up, as always.

When you enter campus at any other time:

  1. Enter either lane — visitor or the right lane — and if you have a Holland Hall sticker, a member of our safety team will open the gate immediately. If you — or a grandparent, etc., don't have a sticker, the safety officer will greet you before opening the gate.
  2. After being admitted to campus, please check in at the branch or building you're visiting. You will also check out at the same desk.
  3. Please use extreme caution going entering and exiting campus, especially as people get used to the new Welcome Center and gates.
  4. The gates will lower between each car. Please do not tailgate!
  5. Please be careful turning left from the main gate to go onto the north road heading toward the Primary School. There are two lanes, and one car may be going straight.
  6. The speed limit everywhere on campus is 14 mph for the safety of the students, who are often walking outside of the buildings. The school is monitoring the need for additional speed bumps at the Welcome Center.
  7. An automated system for parents and staff is in the works, so stay tuned!
