Ordering books for the 2024-25 school year

Ordering course materials is simple in the virtual bookstore. The link below will lead you through the step-by-step process for ordering your child’s course materials.

Upper School parents will receive an email when students' courses have been uploaded to the Parent Portal.

New this year, make a note of one of your children’s student ID numbers which is located on the same page as the course information in the Parent Portal. (If you have more than one child, only one student ID number is required to access the bookstore.) The MBS Direct bookstore has created a validation process and now requires a student ID number for the Authentication Code.

HOW TO ORDER COURSE MATERIALS

Please fill out Annual Forms for 2024-25

Annual Forms must be completed before the start of the school year, and filling them out early helps school staff process them in a timely manner.

To find the online forms, login to your Parent Portal (https://gotohh.org/parentportal) and click on the Annual Forms tab on the left side of the homepage.

These forms are best completed on a computer, not a mobile device. If you need help as you’re filling out the forms, please check the information at the top of each section for how to communicate any questions that arise.

If your family has had a significant change in household circumstances, you won’t be able to correct the information yourself. Please send an email to  studentbilling@hollandhall.org so we can reach out to you for more information and set up your account.

Dutch Exchange is open for donations

The Dutch Exchange is a place for families to donate or to shop from gently worn uniforms, Dutch shirts, and a few other items needed for special events (black pants or skirts and white shirts for musical performances; pioneer clothes for Rose Hill, practice athletic or PE uniforms.)

The Exchange is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and located in the Tandy between Ms. Silkman's desk and the BT.

This volunteer-staffed service is completely free to our families.

At this time the Dutch Exchange is not taking the discontinued Middle School grey or red polo shirts.

Summer reading and writing workshops for 9th Grade

Holland Hall offers a unique summer opportunity for incoming freshmen to help them complete their summer reading and writing requirements.

The summer Reading Workshop “focuses on enhancing the analytical reading skills and abstract thinking skills that are expected of Holland Hall students in their first semester of upper-school English. Particular focus will be placed on an in depth exploration of the assigned summer reading and effective annotating, with secondary focus on writing argumentative assertions. This course is a great way to go into the school year with a strong understanding of the summer reading text(s)."

The writing workshop “focuses entirely on helping students enhance and practice their skills in academic essay writing. It covers the structure and organization of argumentative essays, generating and drafting successful thesis statements and topic sentences, incorporating outside sources into arguments, incorporating transitions between ideas, crafting effective introductions and conclusions. A computer is highly recommended.”

The sessions are $250 each.
