Top college admissions officials come to HH for event
Plan to join us Monday evening, March 4, at 6 p.m. for the 38th annual College Forum in the A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Dining and Wellness Center's Lawson Conference Room. This event is free and open to the public.
Holland Hall’s annual College Forum is sponsored by the College Counseling office. It is the first program of its kind in Oklahoma and has a wonderful and rich history. Dating back to 1985, this event hosts top college admission professionals from across the United States. These experts in their field will discuss current trends in college admission, talk a bit about their own institutions, and answer any questions you might have.

Grandpa Vanderhof and his wacky family, the Sycamores, have been happily living their zany lives in his house by Columbia University in New York for many years. This family (and their friends) are a madcap group of eccentrics, marching to the beat of their own drum, with pride and joy. But when practical young Alice Sycamore becomes engaged to her company’s vice president, Tony Kirby, the Vanderhof/Sycamore clan must straighten up to meet the new in-laws. It isn’t until Grandpa’s wise speech to Mr. Kirby about the importance of living life to the fullest that the two families find a way to accept each other, and love conquers all. "You Can’t Take It With You" is a madcap, idealistic comedy that reinforces the idea that you can only live life to the fullest by doing whatever makes you happy.

Tulsa Ballet's 'Romeo & Juliet' offers HH discount

This emotionally stunning ballet combines intensity and passion to portray William Shakespeare’s tragic story of two star-crossed lovers. Commissioned by Tulsa Ballet in 2012 to star choreographer Edwaard Liang, Dance Magazine celebrated the production by saying that Liang’s “inventive choreography served the story with flair.” Join us for an evening full of romance, delightful moments of comedy, thrilling sword-fighting and one of literature’s most heart-breaking conclusions.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
It's time to pick MS classes for next year
It is time to begin the course selection process for the 2024-2025 academic year. On Monday, March 11, an email will be sent to all current 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students with a link to a Google Form. This form will lead them through the process of selecting a few courses for the 2024-2025 academic year. All forms are due no later than March 29. Please discuss with your child which courses they will choose. Parent/Advisor conferences are a good time to ask any questions you might have about course choices. However, there are not a lot of choices to be made.
Students will need to complete the course selection forms from his/her Holland Hall google account and we highly encourage students to sit with parents as they complete the form.
Students will all be enrolled in Math (current math teachers will make these placements, more information can be found here), English, Social Studies, Science.
Students will choose:
- World Language: French or Spanish — students will be placed in their language of choice.
- Music: Band, Choir, or Orchestra — course information can be found here.
- Fine Arts Elective: 6th Grade: Art, Drama, or C3 (Create, Connect, Code), 7th Grade: Art, Drama, or Photography, 8th Grade: 2D Art, 3D Art, or Drama — we cannot guarantee first choice placement for electives but we do our best and most students are placed in either their first or second choice, course information can be found here.
- 7th/8th will select PE/Athletics - Fall selections are included on this course selection sheet, Winter/Spring selections will be chosen once the school year begins. More information about Fall offerings can be found here.
We ask that students send a copy of his/her responses to themselves so they have a record of what they selected. If they change their mind after submitting, they need to email Ms. Danner or Ms. White. These course selections are due no later than March 29.

We will craft up something "eggstra-special" for you and your favorite friend, provide an "eggcellent" snack, have an "eggciting" Easter egg hunt, and an "eggstremely" fun day of play!

Mark your calendars for Spring conferences March 13, 14, & 15. Please reach out directly to your child's teacher if you missed the sign up information. Comments and checklists will be available in the Parent Portal at 5:00 p.m. on March 12.
Solar Eclipse - April 8
Students in grades Kindergarten through Third Grade will be viewing the solar eclipse on April 8. Protective glasses will be provided to the students.
