Please read: Important tax credit information
If you are planning to apply for the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit, you can find a checklist that will help you navigate the multi-step process that starts on December 1, 2023. All information will be submitted online through an application portal. Families earning less than $150,000 will be given priority. More details can be found directly on the OK Tax Commission website (https://www.parentalchoice.ok.gov/).
Although our registration for the tax credit is complete, the school does not have access to the Enrollment Verification form at this time. We will not have access until our registration is approved.
Once approved, the school will be uploading the Enrollment Verification form information as soon as possible after Thanksgiving break. The Tax Commission will then send families an email. To ensure the emails get to you in a timely manner, please log in to your Holland Hall Parent Portal before Monday November 20, 2023, to confirm your email address is correct. Select Parent Dashboard, "Update Household Information" and then update the "MAIN CONTACT EMAIL" for Parent/Guardian 1 and Parent/Guardian 2. This is the email that will be used by the OK Tax Commission.
Construction to begin soon on a guardhouse
As Holland Hall continually strives to enhance our safety and security measures, we wanted to make families aware of an important addition to our school entry.
Crews will soon start work on building a gatehouse at the main entrance of our school to add a further layer of security to campus. Because of some generous donors, construction can start before the December holiday break, and there will be some traffic changes during construction. Watch your emails for more information.
The presence of a gatehouse is a deterrent and will help with visitor management — all vendors and visitors will be required to check in at the gatehouse. Gates will be open during pick-up and drop-off just as they are now, and parents will be provided a pass for access at other times.
Donor opportunities are still available to complete the structure.

Meeting: How to set healthy technology boundaries
When: Friday, December 8, 12-1 p.m.
Virtual: Need Link
Join the Parents' Association for a lunch-and-learn virtual conversation and Q and A for parents in all branches of the school.
Research and anecdotal experience shows that technology boundaries are important to kids' overall health. Setting and enforcing technology boundaries can be a source of concern and uncertainty for many parents. How do you set and enforce technology boundaries that make sense for your child and your family? How do you use technology to connect with your family instead of creating distance? At what ages should children have access to social media, multiplayer games, the internet? How can you use the parental features embedded in your iPhone, iPad, and Mac based computer system to set limits for your child and to monitor their technology use?
Join the school counselors and technology staff in exploring this timely topic!
Where in the world is Dutch?!?
Come get a stuffed plush Dutch in the Dutch Zone before the end of the year, and take him on any adventures you have — on or off campus! Just take a photo with Dutch, post it on social media with the hashtag #DutchSighting, and we'll share as many of them as we can! One student per branch also will receive a prize at the beginning of the second semester!

The Dutch Zone will be open extended hours starting on Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day! Find new products — like cocoa bombs and Apple Watch bands — as well as gift bundles and stocking stuffers. New hours will be posted soon, and always feel free to ask at the front desk if the Dutch Zone can be opened. For big or small purchases, we'll open the DZ for a private shopping experience!
