A reminder about campus hours
Just a friendly reminder about normal campus hours throughout the week.
Monday through Friday - 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday - 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday - 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Please do not attempt to access any of the buildings outside of these hours unless prior arrangements have been made.

Reminder of Holland Hall Illness Protocol
Keep your child (or yourself) home if you are ill. Always consult your physician for guidance and consider testing for COVID-19, Flu, RSV, and/or any other illness your physician feels is warranted, especially if there is a known exposure and/or recent travel.
Please also stay home/allow them to stay home until they are able to fully participate in the school day. Students/employees should be fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medications for at least 24 hours before returning. The same applies for vomiting and/or diarrhea.
Returning to school after any respiratory virus (including COVID-19) or intestinal virus
If individual had symptoms, then they may return:
- If no fever (100.0 F) for at least 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) AND
- If no vomiting or diarrhea for at least 24 hours AND
- Other symptoms have improved AND
- Are able to fully participate in the school day.
- It is recommended they/you wear a mask for the next 5 days.
If individual had no symptoms, but has tested positive for COVID-19:
- It is recommended they/you wear a mask for the next 5 days.
- If symptoms develop, stay home and refer back to previous guidelines.
Recent close contact with someone who has a respiratory or intestinal virus:
- Quarantine is not required, if there are no symptoms.
- It is recommended they/you wear a mask for the next 5 days.
- If symptoms develop, stay home, contact your physician and refer back to guidelines above.
Please stay home and consult your physician for guidance if one or more of the following symptoms:
- Fever (100.0 F) or higher
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Loss of taste or smell
- New cough
- Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
- Chills
- Body/muscle aches
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Fatigue/malaise
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea
(Your child should be fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to school, regardless of diagnosis.)

PRIMARY SCHOOL
Traffic reminders
Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe during arrival and dismissal times. Please do not leave your children unattended in the mornings. The doors to the building open at 7:50 a.m. In the afternoons, the gate to enter the Primary School will open at 2:30 p.m. If you need to arrive on campus before that time for a birthday party, conference, or to pick up your child early, please enter through the main gate, park, and come inside the building. This will help keep our driveway accessible for everyone.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day
Grandparents and Special Friends Day is just around the corner. Please check your child's Schoology page for details on grade-level activities. As a reminder, the school day ends at 10:30 a.m. that morning. There is no After Care available on this day.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School drop-off reminder
Please remember that the Middle School building does not open until 7:45 a.m. (8:45 a.m. on Wednesdays). Students who are dropped off before then need to report to Before Care in the Tandy so that they are supervised.
Important information about ERB testing in Middle School
All students in grades 6, 7, and 8 will be completing the ERB Comprehensive (CTP5) assessment online on Nov. 18, 19, and 20. All testing will be completed in the mornings on those dates. Students will have lunch as usual and will attend afternoon classes. We ask that you reserve these dates in your schedule so your child is present and able to participate fully. Please do not schedule appointments for your student before noon on test days.
TESTING DATES:
Nov. 18 — Students will take Writing Mechanics and Writing Concepts.
Nov. 19 — Students will take Mathematics 1 and 2, and Verbal Reasoning.
Nov. 20 — Students will take Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Reasoning and Vocabulary.
*Adequate breaks are built into the testing schedule.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
- Make sure your student gets adequate sleep.
- Make sure your student eats breakfast in the morning.
- Make sure your student has a fully charged iPad each day.

4th Grade BEAR Celebration is Nov. 21
The BEAR Celebration is a special event for fourth graders who have dedicated themselves to reading by reading at least 400 pages over the past month. On Thursday, Nov. 21, these young readers will kick off the celebration with an evening filled with exciting activities and guest readers, inspiring them to continue their love of books. The festivities extend into Friday, Nov. 22, when students will arrive in their pajamas and spend the day immersed in the joys of reading. From cozy read-alouds to author chats, the BEAR Celebration is designed to foster a lasting passion for books. This event highlights the power of reading to open doors to new worlds, setting the stage for a lifelong love of learning.
Parents must sign out students who leave early
Due to safety concerns, we are asking parents to come inside the MS office when needing to sign your child out of school early. This includes during the MS sports period.
UPPER SCHOOL
Upcoming: 11th grade Parent College Counseling Night
As seniors finalize their applications, College Counseling is eager to increase programming with 11th-grade students to prepare them for their own application journeys.
Join College Counseling for an overview of the next 18 months and how to best support your college-bound students. Topics will include timelines, building a college list, updates on the Class of 2025, and much more.
When: Monday, Nov. 18
Time: 6:30-8 p.m.
Where: US Lecture Center
Families are invited to submit questions in advance, which will be addressed the evening of the event.

There are many resources that the Upper School purchases because they are not available through the bookstore or because they are less expensive to purchase in bulk.
This will apply for the following classes:
